The PTO (PARENT-TEACHER ORGANIZATION) of James Burd is committed to promoting activities and programs that will enhance the educational atmosphere of the school as well as fostering opportunities to forge relationships between our students, their families and our community. We encourage collaboration between:


  • Teachers

  • Staff

  • Parents

  • Guardians

  • Community

We welcome participation and any input from our school community. Together we strive to make James Burd the best school it can be for our students.

The PTO's primary purpose is to:

  • Raise funds for things such as student field trips, extracurricular school events, books, classroom needs, and playground equipment.

  • Lend a hand in creating a positive environment for all students, teachers and administration.

  • Encourage parent involvement and provide access for volunteer opportunities.
